Tim Papworth

Grower from Norfolk

Tim, born into a farming family in Norfolk, is now director of LF Papworth Ltd., a contract farming business.  Tim is responsible for all aspects of potato and vegetable production, marketing, livestock supply and selection, haulage and transportation, input purchases and human resources.  The business grows 10 varieties of potatoes, for processing, crisping and chipping, on 450 acres and a further 150 acres lifted under contract.

In 2007 the business was awarded an Environment Agency Water Efficiency Award and was runner up in the Norfolk Farm Competition.

Tim is also a director of the family Butchery business which has grown from one shop to four  and includes a slaughterhouse and cutting plant, he is also chairman of local abstractors group BAWAG, and a member of the UK Irrigation Association.
