PCL: Simplification of systems put into effect

Potato Council has decieded to become a fully integrated division of AHDB. This way, administrative procedures and documentation can be kept to a minimum.

The company, Potato Council Ltd, will be retained (in order to protect the name) but it will be dormant and have only two directors, Allan Stevenson and Dennis Heywood - chairman and vice-chairman respectively.

On 24 November there was an AGM to put this into effect.

In practical terms, the name Potato Council (PCL) will still be used and there will be no change to our logo; there will still be a PCL Board of 15 members, who are responsible to potato levy payers for management of their funds; and the PCL's accounts will be separately identified within AHDB's corporate plan.
