Business Improvement

Version 3 of the Potato Council benchmark model has just been launched online.  The Potato Council business-improvement programme helps you compare your potato crop confidentially with other enterprises on your farm.  It also gauges how your production costs and business performance fare against the sector upper quartile.

Understanding your costs allows you to analyse risk and opportunity and make well calculated decisions for return on investment, capital input and land commitment.  A full appreciation of your production costs puts you in strong position to make these critical strategic decisions.

Funding may be available to assist in the development of business improvement groups, to ensure you maximise the benefits of the programme
