Event date :
Event date:
27 June 2012
Location :
Location:
Brookland Village Hall, Brookland, Romney Marsh, Kent, TN29 9RG

Following on from the success of last year’s South East Potato Day, Potato Council and John Paine (Kent) Potatoes Ltd would like to invite you to attend the 2012 Potato Day.  Industry experts will address a range of topical issues to help you tackle new legislation and meet the ever-increasing demands for quality.

In the morning Jim Davies of the AHDB Market Information team will lead discussions on prices, markets and trends, and Chris Steele of the Potato Council will present on slug control and the stewardship of metaldehyde.

The afternoon field sessions will be practical and interactive.  David Hudson will discuss cultivations, how they affect the soil/water interactions and the consequences on quality and yield. Jerry Knox will tackle water efficiency and irrigation. Due to the informal nature of the field session, there will be time to raise other topics that are of interest to you.

To help with numbers and catering, if you would like to attend please register as soon as possible, as space is limited at Brookland Village Hall.
