Fight Against Blight 2011

4 August 2011

Launch Fight Against Blight 2011 Maps

The Potato Council has offered a blight incident reporting service to the potato industry for the past 8 years. This information is collected on a voluntary basis by 300 blight scouts drawn from members of the industry who are routinely walking potato fields during the season. The samples that the scouts send in for analysis are also used for the much-publicised work on mating types.

You can see all the blight incidents supplied by blight scouts by viewing one of the Fight against Blight maps.

Smith Period reporting and information can be viewed at Blighwatch.co.uk

If you would like to register for FREE Blight Alerts, please create a Fight Against Blight (FAB) account.

If you already have a FAB account you can review your blight alert settings for the 2011 growing season by logging in.

New information on Varietal Resistance to 13_A2 is available.
