Get involved

All marketing activities need industry support to maximise the impact of the activity. A strong message needs to be promoted by the whole industry. Getting involved in campaign and projects will bring rewards; both at a business and industry-wide level.

Hire our promotional vehicle

Potato Council has a promotion vehicle (see image above) which is available at cost for industry to use. It comes with a cook if you want to sample potatoes and when delivered it will be set up for you to use. It is an idea vehicle to promote potatoes at a show, outside a retail store or at an on farm event.

Grow Your Own Potatoes schools project

Schools have harvested their crop for 2011, but we have already started to recruit for 2012. You can get involved by:

  • taking a Grow Your Own Potatoes (GYOP) leaflet along to your local primary school and encourage them to participate

  • visiting your local school to talk about your farming experiences and bring Grow Your Own Potatoes alive

  • registering an offer for schools on the 'offers of help' page on the Grow Your Own Potatoes website and if you offer farm visits to schools, you can also register your farm for the 'farm visits' section (or even if you don't want to include your details on the website but would be happy to visit local schools or host a farm visit, please let us know as we could match you up with a local school.)

  • visiting a school and help with planting and harvesting
