Safe Potato Operations

Welcome to Safe Potato Operations. Here you will find a number of modules with videos and questionaires designed to advise on best safety practice for all those involved with the harvesting, storage and distribution of potatoes.

These videos and tests were originally available on DVD and have now been made available via our website to help make them more broadly available.

Select a video and once the video has finished playing you will be given the option to take the test. Some tests are specific to particular roles such as grade or driver. If you are succesful in completing test correctly you will be able to personalise a certificate with your details.

The Safe Potato Operations DVD has been produced for the Potato Council (a wholly owned subsidiary of AHDB) and incorporates material previously produced for its predecessor the British Potato Council (BPC).  Such material is authorised for use in the DVD and on this website, and where not re-badged as Potato Council retains its BPC identity.
